Using the Pick Up Pencil

The RazzleDazzle Pick Up Pencil is only $4.90 and worth every cent! I love using this wee gem and it is my go to tool when I am fixing rhinestones to a costume using glue.

TUTORIAL
Using E6000 and B6000 Glue

Do you struggle with stringy glue?

Do the "press and flick" to break that annoying string.

Gently squeeze out desired amount, release the pressure on the tube, then press the metal tip into the fabric surface and flick the tip to break the string.

Wipe any build up off the metal tip as needed.

Using the Rhinestone Applicator

The RazzleDazzle Hotfix Applicator is great value at $35.90!

I really enjoy using this awesome tool and it is my go to tool when I am fixing rhinestones to a costume that is made of lycra and bodystocking. The applicator heats up the glue backing on the rhinestone, and after a few seconds it sticks to your fabric.

It is a little slower than using glue and a pick up pencil, however it is super neat and tidy and very easy to use.

See below for Step-by-Step guides.

Hand Beading

My own costume work still involves a lot of hand stitched sequin and bead work.

I use 8mm cup sequins with coordinating seed beads. I also like mixing up my shades of colours to create texture and interest. It is hard to video as my hand gets in the way!

The thread goes through the sequin, then follows the bead, and the needle goes back through the hole of the sequin to secure it to the garment.
