Another question I get asked a lot is “what is the difference between E6000 and B6000 glue?” Well the answer is chemically there is not a lot of difference, basically the ingredients are exactly the same but the ratio of those ingredients is different, so in effect, the two adhesives really aren’t that different from each other.
If we want to get technical, B6000 has a solid content of 35% – 41% and an initial drying time of 4-6 minutes, and E6000 has a solid content of 38% – 45% and an initial drying time of 3-5 minutes. Both are clear, and both have a full drying time of 24-48 hours.
Price difference is:
B6000 25ml - $8.90
B6000 50ml - $15.90
E6000 50ml - $19.90
And of course it also comes down to personal preference! I have many customers that enjoy the consistency of E6000 much more, I also have many customers that enjoy the cost effectiveness and size options of B6000. I personally happily use both, it just depends on what I’m doing. So I always suggest trying product and choosing what you yourself prefer. But hopefully that answers and explains the technical difference!
